The Compound Effect

The Compound Effect is a book written by Darren Hardy, but applies to everything in life. One of the reasons why I understand this concept so well in business is because of how it applies in the gym.
You can’t walk into the gym tomorrow and be a World Record Powerlifter. You can’t walk into the gym tomorrow and have abs ripped to the bone. It just doesn’t work like that. We currently live in a world where people want things immediately.
It takes consistency over time + direction + accountability + aplan. With these strategically in place, over time you can build the physique you want, just like you can build a business.
It applies in all walks of life
The crossover with this concept between the gym to business is indisputable. I’m living proof that these principles work both in and outside of the gym. You have to be relentless, always always trying and wanting to learn. You’re always trying new things and thinking about the mission.
You have to be steady! It’s about the long game, not short-term gratification. Being a businessman/woman is a lifestyle. The Compound Effect at a bare minimum is doing something consistently over a long period of time. If done right, the numbers will tip in your favor and your hard work pays off.
