Quit holding yourself back

One of the biggest things that stops people from achieving what they want isn’t talent.

It isn’t opportunity. It’s themselves. They start pulling back the reins the moment things begin to work.

They start asking questions like:

“Am I supposed to be here?”
“Am I capable of doing this?”
“Is this really possible for me?”

And without realizing it… they start lowering their own ceiling.

When I was growing up

I grew up in a trailer.

The messaging around me was simple: Money doesn’t grow on trees. Most people hate their jobs. Life is hard and that’s just the way it is.

That was the blueprint I was surrounded by.

But something inside me believed something different. I believed I could live differently. I believed I could build something bigger.

And that belief mattered.

The difference today

When I started chasing this path in the 90’s and early 2000’s, I didn’t know anyone doing what I wanted to do.

There was no roadmap. There was no internet full of information.

There were no podcasts, courses, or social media examples showing you how to build a brand, a business, or a life in the fitness industry.

Today? You have everything at your fingertips. Knowledge. Examples. Guidance.

Which means the biggest thing left that can stop you is YOU.

The moment most people pull back

This is what happens.

People start making progress. Their body starts changing. Their business starts growing. Their confidence improves.

Then they enter territory they’ve never been in before. Maybe territory their family has never been in either. And suddenly doubt creeps in…

“Maybe this isn’t for me.”

“Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself.”

“Maybe I should slow down.”

That’s the moment people start pulling the ceiling down on themselves.

What actually moves you forward

Confidence isn’t magic. It comes from action.

I believed in myself, but I also backed that belief up with work.

I worked, studied, made mistakes, course-corrected, and kept moving.

I didn’t wait for permission, I didn’t wait for certainty. I just kept knocking.

ASK YOURSELF: WHY NOT YOU?
